Alex Lane

Alex Eugene "Gene" Lane, age 71, of Selma, AL, passed away November 15, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudette Lane. He is survived by his sons, Alan (Kay) Lane, Greg (Gina) Lane, Steve (Mickie) Lane, Mark Lane and Rodney (Lycrecia) Lane; sisters, Joe Ballard, Sue Fuqua and Betty Crawford; grandchildren, Khristopher Lane, Cherie Lane, Grace Lane, Casey Lane, Ethen Lane, Taylor Lane, Amber Lane, Lauren Lane, Megan Lane, Nick Lane, Matt Lane and Mandy Vancil and great-grandchild, Caleb Lane. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 18, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Yarbrough officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 5-7:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Casey Lane, Ethen Lane, Taylor Lane, Nick Lane and Matthew Lane. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Harris, Earl Irwin, Mike Cutler, Dan Taylor, Andy Dearman and Mark Dearman. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX, 75284-0692.
