Allen Dunkin

Allen McVay Dunkin passed away May 19, 2017 at the age of 97. He was born January 14, 1920 to the late H.T. and Margaret Dunkin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred E. Dunkin; grandson, Chris Dunkin; parents, H.T. and Margaret Dunkin; brothers, Albert Dunkin, Arthur Dunkin, Emyrs Dunkin and sister, Vera Moore.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Sharon) Dunkin, Dorothy Mims and James (Barbara) Dunkin; grandchildren, Terri (Tom) Carr, Jerry (Becky) Mims, Kim (Richard) Kinsaul, Scott Mims, Laurel Dunkin, Emily Cooper, Eddie Cooper and Jennifer Langford; great-grandchildren, Bryan (Nicole) Carr, Brent (Megan) Mims, Brandi (Chase) Knight, Jeremy (Krista) Carr, Kelsey (Brian) Manley, Tanner Dunkin, Elizabeth Kinsaul and Richard Kinsaul; twelve great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Ocmulgee Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Mims, Scott Mims, Tom Carr, Richard Kinsaul, Tanner Dunkin and Brent Mims. Honorary pallbearer will be Eddie Cooper.
