Allen Green

Joseph “Allen” Green of Stanton, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 22, 2022, while surrounded by his family at the age of 63.

Allen was born in Selma on July 29, 1959.  He was the owner and operator of Auto Electric Company in Selma. He was a lover of motorcycles, bicycles, and anything else that had wheels. Allen was a faithful worshipper at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Stanton and had a reserved seat on the back left pew.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Davis Green; his sister, Janis Green Rogan (Fred); nephew, Landon Rogan (Anne); niece, Mary Laura Carlson (Chris); niece, Sara Rogan; great nephew Nehemiah and great niece Elora; his 16 year old canine companion, Max; and many other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mattie Green, and his in-laws, Bob and Vernell Davis.  

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Selma Funeral Home. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Stanton with Rev. Danny Rasberry officiating.
