Alvis Burton

Alvis Dewhite Burton passed away December 6, 2016 at the age of 60. He was born December 29, 1955 to Jessie and Woodrow Burton.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Burton and father, Woodrow Burton.
He is survived by his son, Alvis Earl Burton; daughter, Michelle Dennis; granddaughters, Lachelle and Misty; one great-grandson; mother, Jessie Burton; sisters, Carolyn (Monroe) Lawrence, Doris (Billy Ray) Strickland and Vicky (Mike) Owens; brothers, Prentis (Rhonda) Burton and Henry E. Burton and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Joey Pugh, Justis Svenson, Daniel Swindoll, Jeff Gandy, Kevin Strickland, Kyler Svenson and Kristian Svenson.
