Amanda Grace Lide Bagwell, age 39, of Selma, AL, passed away July 16, 2014.
She is survived by her children, Woodley Hannon Bagwell, III, John Henry Bagwell and Margaret Preston Hornsby; parents, John and Sue Lide; maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Lumpkin; sister, Mary Beth (Brett) Greene; uncle, Henry Traylor Lide, Jr.; nephews and nieces, Pelham Hugh Henry, IV, Traylor Lide Henry, Hannah LaChelle Greene, Elle Klaire Greene, Sarah Margaret Greene and Zoe Katherine Greene.
Mandy was a loving mother and an accomplished artist who was known and loved by many. She began her art career upon the birth of her first child in their home that quickly became "The Dining Room Studio". Mandy always gave credit to her family and friends for their support of her artistic endeavors. Her God-given talent and love for art became her life. She was a graduate of John T. Morgan Academy in 1993 and received a B.S. degree from Auburn University where she was a Kappa Delta.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in her hometown of Selma, AL on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with The Reverend John-Michael van Dyke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mike McClelland's Zoo, 753 Co. Rd. 6618, Banks, AL 36005. Mandy was an active volunteer at the zoo and always had a love for animals.
