He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Brooks; parents, Amos Coleman Brooks, Sr. and Martha Brooks; daughter, Donna Jean Farley, grandson, Ricky Farley and brother-in-law, Harvey Goodman.
Surviving are his son, Dale (Jennifer) Brooks; brother, James P. (Paulette) Brooks; sisters, Myrtle Goodman, Mable (Frenchie) Labbe, Dot (J. D.) McCullough, Doris (Riley) Henderson and Ann (Ray) Sewell and grandchildren, Brittany (Jared) Jackson, Adam Brooks and Vickie Farley.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Ackerman and Douglas Coats officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 7-9:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Scott Moore, Steve Mott, Wayne Labbe, Bobby Carr, Robert Nichols and Sandy Carroll.
