Ann Malcomb Pegues

Ann Malcomb Pegues passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 91.  She was born in Selma, Alabama, on June 4, 1932, the only child of Marion Andrew and Mildred Holston Malcomb.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her husband of 46 years, Albert Eugene Pegues, Sr.  

She is survived by her sons, Albert Eugene (Connie) Pegues Jr., and Malcomb David (Cynthia) Pegues; grandchildren,  Clay (Stephanie) Pegues, Kayla (Rand) Smith, Kristen (Joe) Ford, and Austin Pegues; great-grandchildren,  Mari Clay Pegues, Annie Pegues, Phillip Smith, Daniel Smith, Hannah Smith, and Bentley Ford.

Ann, affectionately known as “MawMaw” to her grands and great-grands, amazed all of us with her ability to remember the birthdays and anniversaries of extended family in addition to her close family.   

 Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m.  Graveside services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Dr. George Wood officiating.

Pallbearers will be Clay Pegues, Austin Pegues, Rand Smith, Joe Ford, Phillip Smith, and Steven Pegues.
