Mrs. Anna W. Gibler, 81, of Marion, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020 at her home. She was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 23, 1938 to the late Milo and Louise Kelley Warley.
She is predeceased by her parents, husbands Richard T. Sanner II and Col (Ret) John K. Gibler, and son Richard T. Sanner III.
She is survived by her children - Col (Ret) Milo Gavin (Kimberly), Scott Gavin, Lisa G. Ledbetter (Wendell), Pamela Sanner Edwards, John M. Gibler (Jessica); grandchildren - Rachel Gavin (Moses Bernard), Amanda Hanner (James), Kelli Woods (Tyler), Parker Ledbetter, Conrad Gavin, Cole Sanner, Summer Sanner, Lauren Gibler, Jenn Murphy Jones (Robert); and 4 great-grandchildren.
Anna received her Bachelor of Science from Judson College, and a Masters in Education from the University of Montevallo. She served many years as an educator, completing her career as principal in the Selma City Schools system.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Selma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Allen Green, Bert Maroney, Tim Frazier, Bill Hansen, David Bauer, and Irby Pope. Father Dan Thornton.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
