Anne Brice Conaway passed March 6, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born August 18, 1930 to the late Samuel Douglass Brice and Lillian Weekly Brice Rankin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Antonio “Tony” Conaway and son, James Douglass Conaway.
Ann was a member of Marion Junction A.R.P. Church and was an associate member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church while living in Selma with her husband Tony who passed away in 2010. Her years were spent caring for her family and as a social worker for the State of Alabama.
She is survived by her daughters, Pat Conaway (Ralph) Holley and Beth Conaway (Dean Rogers) Godfrey; daughter-in-law, Denise Conaway; grandchildren, Will (Sabrina) Holley, Jr., Alden (Karen) Holley, Chris (Katherine) Conaway, Kim (Keith) Nagle, Chad (Sarah) Godfrey, Anthony Godfrey, Samuel (Jessica) Conaway and Russell Conaway; great-grandchildren, Aris Stevens, Jada Pilgrim, William Holley, III, Olivia Holley, James Holley, Jr. , Emma Godfrey and Kaitlyn Nagle.
Visitation will be at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 1:00-2:15 p.m. A procession will follow to New Live Oak for a graveside service that will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Steve Burton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Will Holley, Alden Holley, Samuel Conaway, Russell Conaway, Chad Godfrey and Keith Nagle.
