Anne F. Smith age 84 of Selma, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at her home.
She was born on October 22, 1936 in Alabama to the late Lloyd Leslie Flowers and the late Leila Williams Flowers.
She was retired from the State of Alabama after many faithful years of service as an Administrative Support Assistant.
She is survived by children, William O. Smith, III (Darlene) and Deborah S. Cole; grandchildren, Timothy Scott Cole (Katie); great-grandchildren, Caleb Cole, Colyn Cole, and Caroline Cole; brother, David Flowers (Trish); numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Eleanor Nichols and John Coon.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Leila Flowers; husband, William O. Smith, Jr.; and siblings, Jeff Flowers, Luther Flowers, Robert Flowers, Myrtle Booher, Lee Young, Emmett Flowers, and Tommy Flowers.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks for the kindness and compassions shown to Anne by her caregivers, Monette Campbell and Victoria Goud. Also, they would like to especially thank the staff and nurses of Homestead Hospice.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at 2:00pm at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. Guy Anderson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Sunday at Selma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
