Arthur Smith

Arthur Clifton Smith, age 80 of Selma passed away on Saturday February 7, 2009 at his home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday February 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Chris Collins officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Joe (Diane) Smith, Johnny (Leigh Ann) Smith, Barry (Lynn) Stephens, and Jean (Bob) Portera, his brothers and sisters, John E. Smith, Kenneth Smith, James William Smith, Frances Quinn, and Claire Bradley. He is also survived by his four granchildren, Scott Smith (Karen), Shelley (Richard) Ellis, Kyser (Sheri) Smith, Conner Stephens, and his nine great-grandchildren, Brilee and Braxton Smith, Sarah Kyser Ellis, Reynolds Ellis, and Isabella Ellis, Joseph and Morgan Williams, and Gracie Taylor and Ansley Smith. Pallbearers will be Terry Waters, Smitty Smitherman, Michael Bruner, Ross Smitherman, Stevie Smitherman, and Mike Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers will be past and present employees of Bush Hog. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday February 10, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
