Aurelia Ellison

Aurelia Morgan Ellison passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Gulf Breeze, Florida on January 21, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and educator with a generous and giving heart. Aurelia was preceded in death by her parents Roy Riggs Morgan and Aurelia Cruise Morgan, her brother William (Bubba) Morgan and her husband Lt. Col Paul Ellison.

She is survived by her daughter Julie Berry of Gulf Breeze, FL; her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Joyce Ellison of Elberta, AL and two loving granddaughters, Morgan Cole of Pensacola, FL and Kera Ellison of Elberta, AL.

Aurelia led an active lifestyle, leaving behind for her family, a beautiful legacy of faith and trust in God. She always had a positive outlook on life and loved spending time with her family. She was a dedicated educator and community volunteer with deep ties to her hometown’s history and preservation.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 27th from 12:30-1:30 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home at 2900 Citizens Pkwy. in Selma, AL with a graveside service to immediately follow at the Valley Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery located at 1500 Valley Creek Church Rd. in Dallas County. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association online at www.alz.org/donate or by mail.
