Barbara Allen

Barbara Dean Allen, age 58, of Valley Grande, AL, passed away January 13, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Gass. Surviving are her husband, Andrew E. Allen, Sr.; children, Drew E. (Jenn) Allen, Jr. and James M. (Cathy) Allen; brothers, Jim (Sally) Gass, Wayne (Mary Ann) Swift and Victor (Kay) Swift; sisters, Bertha (Bruce) Posey and Ann (Greg) Gentry; grandchildren, Brittnie Quigley and Braxdon Harris, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Keith Chandler officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Michael Posey, Will Posey, Greg Gentry, Blake Hatfield, Taylor Cobb and Jeremy Cobb. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Overlook Hills Church of God, P. O. Box 193, Selma , AL 36702.
