Belma Williamson

Belma W. Williamson, age 92, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Fowler Williamson, Sr.; parents, Willie Thomas Willis and Annie Willis Ross; son, Mack F. Williamson, Jr., daughter and son-in law, Jeannette and Carl Jones daughter-in-law, Dorothy Williamson; sisters, Thelma Ross and Grace Willis; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Cecil Williamson, Ronald (Diane) Williamson, Quintus (Patsy) Williamson and Richard (Brenda) Williamson; sisters, Pauline Bryant, Louise Pyron and Dorothye Jackson; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great- grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and special friends, George Smith and family and David Petty and family. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2011, at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in New Live Oak cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Mrs. Williamson retired from S.H. Kress, June 7, 1980 with thirty six years service. She was an active member of Northside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the choir. She took great pride in caring for the choir robes for many years. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Park Place Nursing Home, especially the East wing for their years of care they provided her. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the choir fund at Northside Baptist Church.
