Benjamin Grice

Benjamin Robert Grice died April 14, 2009 in Prescott, AZ, after a short illness. He was born in Selma, AL July 16, 1925. Ben is survived by his wife Herndon Vaughan Grice, nieces Mary M. Harrison, Ann H. Maas, Jean H. (Rolf) Wehr and Patti H. (Bill) Weems; 4 great-nieces; 1 great-nephew and 3 great-great-nephews. He attended Auburn prior to entry into the Army in 1944 as a Combat Infantryman, serving in France, Germany, and Central Europe and later graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in business Administration. After retiring from Craig AFB, AL in1974 Ben was able to enjoy his love of boating, traveling and woodworking. The Grice's traveled to the U.S., Canada and the world then moved to Arizona in 1987 settling in Prescott. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Old Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a charity of your choice.
