Bernice “Nook” Dykes passed away February 2, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born June 14, 1925 to the late Will and Bonnie Latham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Dykes; son, James Leroy Dykes and four great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; David (Belinda) Dykes of Foley, Linda (Huey) Headley of Selma, Brenda Dykes of Selma, James (Lucy) Dykes of Crooksville, Ohio and Walter Dykes of Selma; grandchildren, Debra King, Brandon Dykes, Nikki Dykes, Josh Dykes, Cody Johnson and Trey Dykes and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Mathis officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children; Office of Development; 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
