Bernice Elaine (Melton) Ramm passed away July 23, 2021, at the age of 80. She was born March 3, 1941, in Selma, Alabama to the late George Leonard “Pete” Melton and Louise (Suther) Melton.
She graduated from Parrish High School in 1959 and attended George C. Wallace Technical School. She lived several places around the world before returning to Selma in 1976. She moved to Pennsylvania in 1982 and to Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania in 2015.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Moore Mize and her son, James A. “Tony” Moore.
She is survived by her husband Edmund C. “Ned” Ramm; daughters, Lisa Moore (Kevin) Bender and Lianne Ramm; sons, Carl (Susan) Ramm and David (Nicole) Ramm; grandchildren, Lindsey Simon (Mike) Gurk, Rachel Bender, Alexandra Simon, Nicole Bender and John Bender; great-grandchildren, Oliver Gurk and Penny Gurk; sister, Martha Reinoehl and brothers, Joseph Melton and Al Melton.
Funeral services will be Thursday July 29, 2021, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, 2900 Citizens Pkwy, Selma, AL 36701. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m., before the service.
