Betty Stephens Brewer, beloved wife and mother went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Stephens and Ruby Henderson Stephens of Montgomery, Alabama, husband of 58 years, Brian Brewer and son, James Allen Brewer of Valley Grande, Alabama.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Brewer (Richard L.) Wilson of Valley Grande, Alabama and Joyce Brewer (Roger L.) Kennedy of Folsom, Louisiana. She also has five grandchildren, Shelly Wilson Butt (Mahir) of Mobile, Alabama, Jessica Wilson Seaich (Jared) of Orem, Utah, Quinn Kennedy and Erin Kennedy of Folsom, Louisiana and Devin Kennedy of Aurora, Illinois and five great grandchildren, Amirah and Alena Butt of Mobile, Alabama, Arianna and Liam Smith and Ezra Seaich of Orem, Utah. Being a mother and grandmother was one of her greatest joys.
She was devoted to her family and her church, Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was a long-time member, sang with the choir, volunteered in the office and served as treasurer for 34 years. Betty will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church.
Her funeral service will be held at Memorial United Methodist Church on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Linda Tarver and Rev. Steve Kopp officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., before the service. A private family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery. The service will be live streamed online at http://watchlawrence.live , via the funeral home's Facebook page.
