She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Smith; parents, Ellen and Cleveland Crenshaw; sisters, Helen Smith, Margarite Barlow, and Doris Kittrell; brothers, Carl Crenshaw, G. B. Crenshaw, Leonard Crenshaw, Edward Crenshaw, Lemar Crenshaw and Robert Cecil Crenshaw and step-son, Dalton Smith.
Surviving are her sons, Kenneth (Mary Jean) Smith and Wayne (Wanda) Smith; step-son, Winston Smith; daughter, Betty Dyanne Steele; step-daughters, Francis S. Holley and Carolyn S. Hanks; brothers, Roy Crenshaw, Harold Crenshaw and J. A. Crenshaw; sister, Eula Grey Parton and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 10, 2009, at 12:30 p.m., at Selma Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ira Blanchard officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Wes Smith, Rob Steele, Harold Smith, Rusty Smith, Gaines Breland, and Ernest Tate.
