Betty Gables

Betty Ruth Gables passed away June 7, 2020 at the age of 84. She was born June 28, 1935 in Pea Ridge, Alabama to the late Richard Huey Dennis, Sr. and Candia Clementine Abernathy Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Gables; sons, Jerry Vining and Joseph Vining; brothers, R.H. Dennis, Ronald Dennis and Donald Dennis and sisters, Earleen Dennis, Candy Dennis, Pauleen Dennis and Laurleen Dennis.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (Denise) Vining, Beverly (Lawrence) Nichols, Jeffrey (Donna) Vining and Billy Vining; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Swan and Inez Witcher; daughter-in-law, Glenda Vining and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
