Betty Davis Tabor Lyons, 82, of Selma, died Friday, January 22, 2010. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 25, at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with the Dr. Michael J Brooks officiating and Lawrence Brown Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include sons John Olyn Tabor,jr. (Debbie), Richard Davis Tabor ( Delores), Godfrey Donald Lyons (Julie) and daughter Donna Lyons Porter (Bill); grandchildren are Jason Paul Tabor (Laura) ,Melissa Anne Tabor, John Matthew (Noelle), Amanda, William Rufus Porter, jr. (Della) and John Robert Porter and one great -grandson Liam Tabor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cooper Lyons; parents W.E. and Bernice J. Davis; brothers Major General Woodard E. Davis,jr., and Thomas G. Davis. She was a life long member of First Baptist Church and a graduate of the class of 1945 at Albert G. Parrish High School.
Pallbearers will be Bill Bryant, Tommy Morris, Chris Thiem and grandsons Jason Tabor, Matthew Tabor, Will Porter and John Porter. Honorary pallbearers will be the crew of Tabor Construction Company.
