Betty Faye Story, age 62, of Selma, died Friday April 8, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Gaston Parten, Sr. and Nancy Glass Parten and her brother, Allen Gaston Parten, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Richard Keith Story; children, James Allen Clibrey (Melissa), Chris Michael Clibrey (Jennifer) and John Benjamin Clibrey (Jessica); 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and 1 goddaughter; brothers and sisters, James Parten (Jean), Earl Parten, Ron Parten (Shannon), Arline Walker (James) Rowena Barr (Howard); sister-in-law, Ellie Parten and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday April 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Water Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Rod Rochester officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Nanafalia, AL. The family will receive freinds at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday.
Active pallbearers will be John Warren, Tony Walker, Jimbo Parten, Jo Gibson, Russell Martin and Noah Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Stan Massie, Mark Story and Water Avenue Baptist Church.
