Beverly Ann Wall Boozer 88, went home to her Lord Sunday, January 8, 2023 after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Thelma Wall. Mrs Boozer was a long time resident of Selma and later Prattville and Thorsby, Alabama.
Beverly was born March 6, 1934, the 6th of 7 children in Danville, KY and moved to Selma at a young age. A wonderful wife and mother, she and David led their family at Fairview Baptist Church where she was church secretary and participated in the choir, children’s department, WMU and many other positions. After her husband's death she moved to Prattville, AL to be near her daughter Marilyn and family. There she joined their church, First United Methodist Church of Prattville. She enjoyed making new friends, going on trips, and being an active member of their congregation. After living and enjoying the communities of The Gables and The Gardens of Clanton. Her last 2 years were with Bobby and Sonya Boozer where she received much love and care.
She is survived by Children, Becky Boozer Caine (Gregg), David Boozer Jr. (Donna), Bobby Boozer (Sonya), and Marilyn Boozer Washburn (Chris); Grandchildren, Paige Caine Farrish (Philip), Averee Caine Reed (Matt); Taylor Boozer Hatchett (Jeremy), Whitney Boozer Blades (Eric), Jacob Boozer (Lindsey), Morgan Boozer Lowery (Matt),
Caleb, Joshua and Mattie Bullard and their father, Ivan Bullard; Great-grandchildren, Georgia and Julia Farrish, Rebecca, Josiah and David Reed, Raven and Mackanzie Hatchett, Conner and Riley Blades, Scarlett and Hudson Boozer, and due in February, Carter Jane Lowery.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, David M. Boozer. She is also preceded in death by her Brothers, Robert, Hugh, Charles, Eugene, and Lawrence; and Sister, Marilyn Wall.
She leaves behind a great number of family including sisters-in-law, Veta, Joyce and Linda; brother-in-law, Billy Boozer; and many nieces and nephews. Also many friends including AG Parrish High Class of 1952 and her special friend and caretaker, who she loved like a daughter, Susana Soto Cruz.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff of Southern Care Hospice of Clanton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Matt DeBord officiating.
Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the Fairview Baptist Church of Selma, the First Baptist Church of Clanton, or the First United Methodist Church of Prattville.
Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the caring and professional staff of the Selma Funeral Home.
