Billie John Fitzsimmons, Jr., a devout Christian, went to be with Our Lord on March 9, 2022. Billie was born in Solomon, Kansas on June 1, 1949 to Evelyn and Billie Fitzsimmons, Sr. and grew up there, graduating from Solomon High School.
Subsequently, Billie enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Craig AFB, Selma, Alabama, serving as an Aircraft Mechanic. When he completed his tour of duty with an Honorable Discharge, Billie loved the area so much that he never left Dallas County.
He loved working on a farm with Mr. Freeman Suttle, doing so for many years and relished the time he spent with the horses. At time of his passing, Billie was working for Fuller Building Supply, a job he held for over 30 years. He also served his community over the years with his volunteer work for the Suttle Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Rebekah Gray Fitzsimmons; stepchildren, Rebecca Ruth (Bob) Richards and Amy Miller (Bobby) Rinehart; brother and sister-in-law Margaret (Kent) Cogle, brothers, Wayne (Robin) Fitzsimmons, Robert (Dana) Fitzsimmons and Richard (Sandy) Fitzsimmons and sister, Barbara Ritter. Billie had many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Thompson.
