He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy T. Poynor, Sr. and Debbie Cox Poynor; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Cox; paternal grandfather, James Earby and uncle, Ray Poynor.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Chandler Poynor; sons, Billy Travis Poynor, III, Cullen Ray Poynor and Robert Bodiford; daughter, Erika Ann Poynor; brothers, Shannon (Jaja) Poynor, Johnny (Krystal) Chatman and Scotty (Michelle) Coxs; sisters, Amanda Poynor and April Chatman; stepmother, Barbara Chatman; grandmother, Ann Newman; maternal grandfather, James Coxs; paternal grandmother, Virginia Earby; aunts and uncles, Ronny (Lisa) Earby, Keith Earby, and Stephanie Earby and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 17, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Scott Harris, Brandon Harris, Brian Myracal, Joe Chandler,Brandon Orvis and Brady Myracal.
