Bobby Barnette, Sr.

Bobby R. Barnette, Sr. age 75, of Selma, AL, passed away January 9, 2011. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norbett Barnette and Woodyee Barnette. He is survived by his spouse, Mattie Chisenall son, Bobby R. (Joy) Barnette, Jr. and LeRoy (Danielle) Chisenall; daughters, Margaret (Joe) Chandler, Roberta Renae (Lee) Chisenall and Joyce (Scott) Jarvis and grandchildren, Bobby R. "Trey" Barnette, III, JaJa Poyner, Shannon Poynor, Lacy, Jamie Lee "Biggie", Blake, Dallas and Mackenzie , Jessica Jones and Cassie Kinman and great-grandchildren, Dalton, Chandler and Traceton. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Duke officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 5-7:00 p.m. Bobby's favorite pastime was touring the area in his green 1970 Ford Torino and playing cards with his close friends. Pallbearers was Shannon Poynor, LeRoy Chisenall, Trey Barnette, Lee Robertson, Joe Chandler and Scott Jarvis. Honorary pallbearers will be James Johnson, Glenn Martin, Joe Wheeler, David Lenore and Timmy Aikens. The family would like thank his good friends, David Dixon, Bobby Howard,the employees of Crossroad Exxon and Asera Care Hospice for their love and support.
