It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Leslie Mobley, age 85 on February 11, 2022. After a long battle of declining health, she entered life with her Savior Jesus Christ in heaven.
She was born in Calera Alabama, to Numa Almond and Annie Mae Davis and raised her family in Selma .
Bonnie was a shining light in this world who never met a stranger. She was known for being a fabulous cook, her deep devotion to God, love of gospel music, and service through Summerfield Baptist Church and Northside Baptist Church in Selma.
The kindness of her disposition and her spirit of humanity was valued by all. Granny, as we all called her formed many special family bonds and created precious memories with her children, grandchildren and her great grands. While it is impossible to sum up the impact she made in the lives of her family, friends and anyone she encountered, we take comfort in knowing our tremendous loss is Heavens Glorius Gain.
Bonnie is survived by her brother Leon Davis, children Clarisa Faye, Richard (Tonya) Leslie Jr., Sandra Kay, Carolyn Gilmore, Patricia Jackson, Tommy (Tracy) Mobley as well her 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Michael Leslie.
