Bruce Carswell

Bruce Carswell passed away October 16, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born May 5, 1955 to the late Earl Carswell and Bessie Hammonds Grisham.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Carswell; brothers, John Carswell and Mike Carswell and step-mother, Lois Yvonne Carswell.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Carswell; son, Bruce (Tabitha) Carswell of Walnut Springs, Texas; son, Patrick (Sherry) Carswell of Selma, Alabama; daughter, Amy (Michael) Cowan of Cullman, Alabama; brothers, Timothy (Renee) Carswell, Robert (Cathy) Carswell, Terry (Mary Lee) Carswell and James Carswell; sister, Earldean Kimbrell; grandchildren, Kelly (Randall) Piper, Jessica (Lane) Frazer, Brittany (Taylor) McNeil, Dalton (Bridgett) Carswell, Courtney Carswell, Carson Cowan and Tyler Cowan; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Patrick, Noah, Brielle, Lukas and Edward and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Carswell officiating. The service will be live streamed online at http://watchlawrence.live, via the funeral home's Facebook page. Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce A. Carswell, Patrick Carswell, Michael Cowan, Jacob Carswell, Bubba Blackmon and BooBoo Farley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Carswell, Randall Piper, Lane Frazer, Taylor McNeil and Billy Hubbard.
