Caden Ryan Tellier age 16 of Selma, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.
Caden was a junior at Morgan Academy where he excelled in the classroom, participated in multiple clubs and was a member of the Student Government Association. He was an all county football and baseball player and he ran track. He was an active member of Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church, and his favorite thing to do was worship Jesus. He exuded kindness to everyone he encountered and loved his family and friends fiercely. He was rarely seen without a smile on his face and a ball in his hand.
Caden is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Tellier.
Caden is survived by his parents, Jamie and Arsella Tellier as well as his sister, Lyla Tellier. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Linda Tellier and Dale Dobbs; grandfather, Michael Slagel; uncles and aunts, John and Krista Slagel, Andrew and Emily Slagel and Lynn Tellier; first cousins, Hannah and David Slagel, Eva, Joshua, Teddy, and Reed Slagel and Tye Tellier. He also leaves behind many extended family members and close friends whom he considered his family.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ The King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Selma. Alabama.
Interment will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Braxton Hale,David Slagel, Foster Jones, Quamarian “Speedie” Pernell, Madison Curry ,Trevor White, Wood Jones, and Barron Frazer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Caden’s football and baseball teammates.
Due to limited space at the church, the service will be held at two locations. The family invites their immediate family members, Caden‘s Junior Class classmates, football and baseball teammates and their families, and church family to attend the service at Christ King Charismatic Episcopal Church. They would ask that all other friends and attendees please make their way to the secondary service location at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on Dallas Avenue. The funeral procession will leave Christ the King Charismatic Episcopal Church on Highland Avenue and process by Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, where all other service attendees and friends will be invited to join the procession. The family asks that only their immediate family members, Caden’s Junior Class classmates, football and baseball teammates and their families, and church family enter the cemetery with the procession. All other friends and attendees please park in the Memorial Stadium parking lot and walk over to the cemetery for the interment.
Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Christ The King Charismatic Episcopal Church in Selma, Alabama.
