He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice Henderson; son, John Henderson and daughter-in-law, Randalyn Henderson, and sisters, Louise Henry and Loyce Allen.
Surviving are his son, James Carl (Gene) Henderson; daughter, Lallage (James) Pruitt, daughter-in-law, Lee Anne Henderson; sister, Geraldine (Nick) Daniels; grandchildren, David (Janine) Henderson, Allen (Kerry) Henderson, Vicky (Bill) Dixon, Todd Pruitt, Kevin Pruitt, Jess (Megan) Henderson and Claire (Kendall) Gibbs and great-grandchildren, Caitlan, Conner and Taylor Henderson, Jackson, Gunner and Cade Henderson, William, Grant and Bailey Dixon. Chase Pruitt, MacKenzie Henderson and Ellen Claire Gibbs. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Orrville Baptist Church with Rev. Stephen Rutherford, Rev. George K. Jones, Sr. Rev. Tom Stacey and Johnny Russell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Henderson, Allen Henderson, Bill Dixon, Kendall Gibbs, Todd Pruitt, Kevin Pruitt, Pelham Henry, Jr. and Jess Henderson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the North American Mission offering at Orrville Baptist Church, P. O. Box 236, Orrville, AL, 36767 or to their favorite charity.
