He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Jones and his parents, Ronder and Vela Jones.
Surviving are his daughter, Debra (Stan) Yates; sons, James (Faye) Jones, John Jones and Edward (Loretta) Jones; sister, Verga (Wylie) Walker; six grandchildren, Gabrielle (Josh) Bowman, Heather Jones, Jake Jones, Brandon (Marianne) Yates, Suzanna Yates and Daniel Yates; one great-grandchild, Dannica Yates; mother-in-law, Belma Williamson and brothers-in-law, Cecil Williamson, Ronnie (Dianne) Williamson, Quintus (Patsy) Williamson and Richard (Brenda) Williamson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Kenny Hatcher officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons at Northside Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Jake Jones, Brandon Yates and Daniel Yates.
