Catherine Gilmer

Catherine Holston Morrow Gilmer passed away on March 9, 2017 in her Marion Junction home at the age of 94. She was born August 9, 1922 in Akron, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Edward Morrow and Harris Lewis Gilmer; parents Eula and Eugene Holston and sister, Jean Campbell.
Mrs. Gilmer is survived by her daughters, Rebecca M. Dennis (Glenn) of Madison, Mississippi and Paula Morrow of Dalton, Georgia; son, Thomas Edward Morrow, Jr. of Pelham, Alabama; grandsons, David G. Dennis of Madison, Mississippi and Jonathan E. Dennis (Kelley) of Collierville, Tennessee, and numerous nieces, nephews, special friends and helpers.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 12 at 2:00 at Prosperity ARP Church in Marion Junction with Reverend Joel Farrow officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 at the church. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Moore, Les Simonton, Billy Moore, Bill Fleming, Mike Maddox, and Frank Caley. The honorary pallbearer will be Robert (Bo) Campbell.
