Cecil Leo Tennimon, age 85, of Selma passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. Mr. Tennimon was preceded in death by his wife: Susie Etoya Tennimon; grandchildren: Tina Hooks, Patricia Ethridge, Kevin Williams, Wayne Campbell; parents, brothers and sisters. He is survived by his daughters: Bobbie (Don) Presson of Jackson, TN, Faye(Cecil) Williams of Maplesville, Rae(Bill) Campbell of Burnsville, Shirley (Rip) Engle of Deatsville, Susie (Jim) Trantham of Burnsville and Kathy (Ron) Gordon of Burnsville; 18 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Cecil Tennimon was a WWII Combat Veteran and served in the Pacific and received 2 Purple Hearts. Services will be at 2:00 on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Yarbrough and Pastor Ron Gordon officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dannie Tennimon, Tommy Tennimon, Steve Tennimon, Barry Mehan, Cecil Williams and Scott Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Captain Jack Galloway.
