Charles Ellis Broadhead age 84 of Valley Grande, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born June 10, 1936 to the late Charlie T. Broadhead and the late Maudie Harris Broadhead.
Charles retired from Tech 2 Way Supply after 40 years of service as a salesman.
He is survived by his children, Becky Broadhead, Charlene (Terry) Hughes, and Sharon (Mike) Morrison; grandchildren, Stacy (Randy) Humphryes, Nikki Hughes, Hailey (Brennan) Nedley, Heather Sharbutt, and Lauren (Josh) Headley; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Anthony; sister-in-law, Carol Broadhead; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wood Broadhead; parents, Charlie and Maudie Broadhead; and siblings, Margaret Ward and James "Pete" Broadhead.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Rev. James Bozeman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm on Tuesday at Selma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mark Broadhead, Rick Champion, Pete Broadhead, John M. "Bud" Parker, Jr., Randy Smitherman, Brennan Nedley, and Josh Headley.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Southern Care Hospice and his caregivers, Ann Kinman and Nesse Burton.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Summerfield Baptist Church.
Please wear a facial mask and practice social distancing.
Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Selma Funeral Home.
