Charles Snodgrass

Charles Willard Snodgrass, born November 17, 1921 to Samuel Alex Snodgrass and Nancy Obedience Rivers Snodgrass in Bashi, AL, died May 20, 2017 in Selma, AL at the age of ninety-five, after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings. The majority of his adult life was spent in Selma after serving twenty-two years in the U.S. Air Force and worked seventeen years at International Paper. He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Frances Chism Snodgrass; children, Priscilla Ann Thompson (Tommy), Ricky Snodgrass and Sarah Arnett Lenoir; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and his precious Molly. He enjoyed his Lionel train set-up for many, many years in addition to his woodworking and Alabama football. The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice for their loving care and support and thank all their friends and neighbors for their prayers, food, love and support. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Selma Funeral Home from 5-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Elkdale Baptist Church with honorary pallbearers being the members of the Frank Earnest Sunday School Class.
