Charles Strickland

Charles L Strickland Sr., age 85, a long time resident of Selma, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016. Charles was a graduate of the 1950 class of Albert G. Parish High School. He was employed by Morgan Brothers Motor Company and Auto Parts Company for almost 30 plus years. Charles was known for his extensive knowledge of automobile parts. His friendly demeanor and helpful attitude in the office at the parts counter won him many friends over the years. Charles is survived by his son, Lee Strickland (Laura). He was passionate about his three grandchildren, Caleb Strickland, Shelby Parish (Paulk), and Samuel Strickland. He was a former deacon of Meadowview Christian Church and is a member of Cambridge Christian Church in Orrville, Alabama (Five Points). The family will receive friends at the Selma Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. His celebration of Life will be at Selma Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the New Live Oak Cemetery.
