Charlie Frank Horton passed away January 9, 2019 at the age of 77. He was born June 29, 1941 to the late Carl William Horton and Jeannie Addie Wilkerson Horton.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Horton (Robert) Cotter; siblings, James Horton, William (Beatrice) Horton and Caroline (Duelon) Buxton and brother-in-law, Howard White.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marilee “Mary” Rush Horton; children, Karen Horton; grandchildren, Jason (Laurie) Robitaille, Brian (Amber) Robitaille, Forrest (Mallory) Butts and Hunter Butts; great grandchildren, Chase, Bella, Jordan and Wyatt; three step great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Horton White; sister-in-law, Catherine Horton; his companion, Bo Bo and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charlie was a supervisor at Phillies Cigar and worked there for over 50 years. He was a member of West Highland United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Kopp officiating. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jason Robitaille, Brian Robitaille, Forrest Butts, Hunter Butts, William Ross and Bo Mollett. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Griffin, Ray Cook, J. L. Calvert and Randy Willett.
