Claudius IV

Claudius Green "Busty" Rives, IV, age 83, passed away, February, 11 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clariece Norris Rives; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his sons, Ernest Leroy Rives, Claudius "Green" (Nancy) Rives V and Jesse Andrews "Andy" Rives and daughter, Theresa Rives Wood; grandchildren; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11.00 AM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Dr. David Thomas officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Culpepper, Johnny Henry, Josh Pouncey, John Mayo, Billy Hardy, Teddy Pouncey, Charlie Rives and Scotty Harris. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clarence Norris, Tommy Norris, Francis Middleton, Aubrey Rush, Jack Mayo and Johnny Stringer. The family would like to express a special thanks to Joyce, Francita and family of Ascera Care Hospice; and to the Perry County Nursing Home Staff. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery fund.
