Darryl Jones

It is with a heavy heart that we share the unexpected passing of Darryl “Tody” Jones, 54, of Selma, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel and Kenneth W. Jones and Willie Maude and W.H. Cleveland.

He is survived by his father, Kenneth E. (Hazel) Jones; mother, Roslan Cleveland (Ralph Jordan) Jones; brother, Terrell Jones; niece, Payton (Kyle) King; great-nephew, Knox King and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tody had a beautiful smile and wonderful sense of humor that you couldn’t help but love. He had a love for all animals, music and writing lyrics. He played the guitar frequently and sang with family and friends on the back porch. 

Tody loved to share helpful knowledge with others and had a rich love for his family. He was a person you could always count on.

We will continue to honor his legacy of seeing the good in others and living life to the fullest.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Foreman officiating.
