David Martin

David Edgar Martin of Deatsville, Al passed away March 21, 2022. He was born November 8, 1947 to the late Joseph Martin and Romeo Dee Flournoy Martin.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Cherryl Martin; brother, Daniel Martin and sisters, Helen Hilyer and Estelle Golden.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Elizabeth Martin; children, Kimberly (Scott) Hilyer, Michael David Martin, Amy (Jeff) Ikner, Heidi Cave, Jimbo (Donna) Cave, Penny (Niall) Davies, Cindy (Richard) Leger, Jason (Tracey) Adams, Wade Adams; grandchildren, David (Laken) Deese, Terry (Robyn) Hilyer, Rylee Hilyer, Jacob (Katie) Ikner, Elizabeth Yoder, Emma Cave, Margo Cave, Benjamin Cigelske, Channing (Lauren) Leger, Adam (Mary Carroll) Leger, David Adams, Shianne Ikner and Jared Ikner; great-grandchildren, Easton Deese, Eli Deese, Cruz Hilyer, Beau Hilyer, Kaphyrn Cave and Maggie Ikner.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Wetumpka with Pastor Eric Sutton officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Interment will follow at Brookside Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at the church at 12:00 p.m., prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Clay Beck, Joey Dismukes, Adam Wadsworth, Josh Clark, Daniel Robinson, and Kenya Lucas.
