David Smith

David M. Smith, age 78, passed away, October 28, 2016. David was a long time employee and owner of Adler Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Velma Smith Sr.; Sister, Lillian Ruth Smitherman. David is survived by his wife of 59 years, Roberta B. Smith; daughter, Debra(John) Brock; sons, David L. (Bonnie) Smith and George W. (Marylin) Smith; brother, Kenneth L. (Brenda) Smith and sister, Velma June Owens; grand children, Stacy (Ryan) King, Stephanie (Morgan) Yarbrough, Clayton K. Smith, David Eric Smith, Chris (Hannah) Crutchfield, Andrew (Morgan) Smith; great grandchildren; Colton King, Jackson & Hayes Yarbrough, Ethan, Ellis & Isabella Crutchfield and Lucas Smith and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday, October 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Light officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Serving as Pallbearers will be, Morgan Yarbrough, Ryan King, Clayton Smith, Chris Crutchfield , Eric Smith and Ricky McConico. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Selma, or the Homestead Hospice of Cahaba.
