David Joe Turner passed away on May 7, 2014 at the age of 55.
Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his father, Featherston Allen Turner; grandmother, Christine Shurden; grandfather, Archie Lee Shurden; niece, Stephanie Leigh Turner; grandmother, Olive Turner and grandfather, Gordon Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Turner; mother, Alice Hinson; daughter, Emma Turner Pitts (Huey); son, Joshua David Turner; brothers, Mark Turner (Vickie), Brad Turner (Chessy); sisters, Tammy Robinson (Mark), Telida Lovell (Tommy) and Renee Hanna (Jeffrey).
Services will be held at Sister Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Lawrence Brown - Service Funeral Home directing. Graveside services will follow in Sister Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Day, Ryan Pitts, T.J. Pitts, David Miley, Sloan Whitfield, Scott Brown, Bobby Lavender and Terry Pitts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Magic Moments, 2112 11th Avenue South, Suite 219, Birmingham, AL.
