Debbie Gene Gilmore Odom

Debbie Gene Gilmore Odom of Selma passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at the age of 66.

She was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 10, 1956 to the late James Earl Gilmore and the late Nellie Estelle Trammell.

Debbie was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Kendall Smith (Kim), David Smith, Sr. (Lettie), Cynthia Pilgrim (Charles), and Chester Odom; grandchildren, Tori, Blaine, David, Jr. (Rachel), Alex (Katie), Brittany, Brooklyn (Bret), Danna, Bryant, Trevor, Colton, and Chloe; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Margarette Foster, Joyce Small, Ethel Byrd (Robert), Dorothy Allbritten, and Charles Lambert.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Chester Odom, Sr.; and siblings, June Gilmore, Sonny Gilmore, and Bo Gilmore.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimbo Small officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma at a later date.

Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home.
