Donald Eugene Mott, age 84, of Selma, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
He is survived by his children: Lessie Mott Howerton (Robert), Marie Johnson, David Mott, Jeffrey Mott, Kathy Mace (Gordon), Tony Mott (Leah), 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; brothers, Carl Mott (Louise), Judson Mott (Alice), James Mott (Bonnie), Charles Mott (Bonnie) and Jimmy Bitzer; sister, Evelyn Barrow (Jack) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mott was preceded in death by his wife, Pearlie D. Mott, children, Johnny Mott, Joseph Mott, Mark Johnson, Donald Ray Mott, and Steve Mott; grandchild, Terri Beth Johnson; and siblings, Howard Mott, Hazel Huggins (BJ), and Violet Bitzer.
Mr. Mott was a Veteran and proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict. Donald Eugene Mott was a carpenter and ordained minister. He was the loving patriarch to his entire family. Known fondly as a loving father, faithful husband, wonderful Grandaddy, and a man who loved God and people. His beautiful singing to praise God, and his charismatic, loving presence will be dearly missed.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at Crosspoint Christian Church. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral Sunday from 6-8 p.m.
