Donald Shumate

Donald Wayne Shumate, age 67, of Frisco City, AL, and formerly of Selma, AL passed away May 21, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Shumate, and mother, Cliffordean Shumate (Brooks) Gandy and sister, Peggy Hopkins Robinson. He is survived by his wife, Mary "Cookie" A. Shumate; children, Lisa Shumate, Doug Shumate and J. D. (Jennifer) Shumate; four grandchildren, Douglas, Lauren, Kirsten and Skylar; one great-grandchild, Carter and all the members of the Stone and Shumate families. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark McCullough officiating. Interment will be in New Live Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
