Doris Chance

Doris Chance, age 86, of Selma, AL, passed away August 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Chance; parents John Nicholas and Birdie Nell Fore; brother, Donald Fore and sisters, Eloise Chappelle and Francis Gissendanner. She is survived by her children, Martin Chance, Steve (Dale) Chance and Doug (Kathy) Chance; sister, Nickie Taylor; sisters-in-law, Ruth Fore and Jean Chance; grandchildren, Bucky, Ann, Bill, Jason, David, Amee, Elisabeth, Bubba and Shelby and special friends, Gloria Chance and Delois Norris who was her caregiver. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cory Horton officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank the staff of UAB Family Medicine and Warren Manor Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Elkdale Baptist Church Building Fund, 2221 Elkdale Street, Selma, AL, 36701.
