Doris Smith

Doris Lee Smith, age 79 passed away on Tuesday September 14, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held on Friday September 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Carey Waldrop and Rev. Wayne Cleckler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Dianne (Fred) Hain of Raleigh, N.C., Sharon (David) Harrison of Maplesville, Debbie (Andy) Payne of Maplesville, Donna (Frank) Atchison of Maplesville, Brenda Davenport of Maplesville, her sons, Wayne (Melinda) Smith of Pike Road, AL, and James Keith Smith of Pensacola, FL, 22 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Walker and Eunice Walker, her stepmother, Miss Zudie Walker, sister, Elsie Smith, sister, Lorene Harrison, brother, Claude Walker, grandchildren, Amber Davenport and Sara Davenport, great-grandson, Brandon Geremia, and her godmother, Ovetta Jackson Davis.
Pallbearers will be Terry Seales, A.C. Champion, Leonard Atchison, Billy Littleton, Larry Walker, Rolin Smith, Charles Goodwin, and Carl McCary.
The family will receive friends on Thursday September 16, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the church.
