Dorthea Coleen Lovejoy Bennett

Dorthea Coleen Lovejoy Bennett, lovingly known as Dottie, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on August 26, 1950, Dottie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and love touched the lives of many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorthan Eugene "Judge" Lovejoy and Virginia Coe Lovejoy; her brothers, John Lovejoy and Darrell Lovejoy; and her stepdaughter-in-law, Lynn Bennett.

Dottie leaves behind a devoted family who will forever hold her memory close. She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Reginald Bennett, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love. She is also survived by her son, Shane Johnson; grandson, Colter (Casey) Johnson; stepsons, Bill (Vicki) Bennett and Mike Bennett; stepdaughter, Leisa (Marvin) Davis; sister, Janell Tubbs; nieces, Kayla Tubbs and Lacey (Blake) Bamberg; great-nephew, Jackson Hasty; and great-niece, Jadie Hasty.

Dottie’s family grew through marriage and love. She also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Her presence brought light and laughter to every gathering, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Dottie’s love, kindness, and laughter will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
