Earl Dean Carswell passed away February 7, 2016. He was born December 4, 1933.
His calling to be a preacher was found at the age of 17 and he done so for 65 years until he passed away suddenly on Sunday evening. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Essie V. Carswell; father, Royal Espy Carswell; brothers, James Carswell, Carl Carswell, Ronald Carswell; sister, Janett Rossen; son, John Carswell; grandsons, Steven, Jonathan and Jeremy Carswell; granddaughter, Rebeka Carswell.
Earl is survived by his wife Lois Yvonne Carswell; brothers, Ralph (Frances) Carswell, Roy (Sandra) Carswell; sisters, Nita (Arthur) Osburn, Dorthy (Jiggs) Bowden; children, Robert (Cathy) Carswell, Mike (Evelyn) Carswell, Bruce (Janice) Carswell, Earldean Kimbril, Terry (Mary) Carswell, Tim (Renee) Carswell and James (Brenda) Carswell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Earl's grandsons.
