Earnest Triplett

Earnest Blair Triplett, born February 14, 1935 in Freeport, Ohio died of an extended illness on Oct. 28, 2014 at the age of 79. He was the son of William J. And Mary Mae Triplett and one of eight children. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Gary Mack Roberts. Mr. Triplett was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force retiring in 1972. During that time he served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Upon retirement from the service he moved to Selma, AL and worked as a civilian and was a part owner in the Selma Screen company. Later he and his wife moved to Boaz, AL. Mr. Triplett was also an avid golfer and outdoorsman. He will be missed greatly. He is survived by his wife, the former Sally Mary Hilburn. They were married fifty seven years. Other survivors include three children, Rhonda Triplett Hodgson (Bobby), Marsha Triplett Roberts (Mark Rouleau), Ted Triplett (Jean); grandchildren, James Roberts (Jessica), Jason Roberts (Ivie) Matthew Roberts, Pfeiffer Triplett, Austin Triplett and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at Pineview Memory Gardens on Friday, October 31st at 2:00 p.m. with visitation at 1:00 p.m.
